Managing Assets
Organizations often struggle to monitor the financial status of an asset (e.g., depreciation and improvements in value due to work completed) and operational status (e.g., condition and capacity). In addition, day-to-day decisions such as repair vs. replace require quality information and tools.
Managing your assets doesn’t need to be a challenge. Enable your organization to:
- Design, build and maintain an asset inventory or integrate with an existing inventory in your Geographic Information System (GIS)
- Track an asset’s operation and financial life
- Facilitate repair/replace decisions
- Address Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB 34) standard or modified approach requirements
- Track static and real-time information about assets in your Supervisory Control and Data Automation (SCADA) systems
- Design, build and maintain an asset inventory or integrate with an existing inventory in your Geographic Information System (GIS)
- Take your GIS data into the field to assist in completing field work and updating your GIS-based asset inventory
- Visualize financial and operational data within your GIS to assist decision makers in seeing where dollars are being spent
- Document all work and associated costs logged as part of maintaining an asset
- Recoup costs by invoicing other parties (e.g., insurance companies, Federal Emergency Management Agency, etc.)
- Track the location of mobile assets
